Hale & Hearty, a food diary that stays on your side, launches on iPhone and Apple Watch

Body awareness, not calorie obsession: the new app from Stribog connects what you eat with how you sleep, move and feel, and never counts a meal against you.

INDIA — 28 October 2026 — Stribog IT Solutions today launched Hale & Hearty Food Diary, a nutrition companion for iPhone and Apple Watch built around one idea: a food diary should be on your side.

The app began with co-founder Pooja Sambare's own gut. Living with bloating and stomach aches, she kept a homemade food diary, photographing every meal and noting how she felt afterwards. She tried cutting foods out on her own and still couldn't pin down the cause. Hale & Hearty started as the tool she wished she'd had: a simple journal for logging food and symptoms side by side.

"I photographed every meal and wrote down how I felt, trying to work out what was causing my bloating," said Sambare. "I cut foods out on my own and still couldn't pin it down. Hale & Hearty is the app I wished I'd had."

Most food trackers turn eating into a scoreboard. Hale & Hearty takes the opposite approach. Its Nutrition Support Index only ever builds as you nourish yourself and never drops because you ate something indulgent. Suggestions are always something to add, never something to cut, and the app describes the day in words rather than numbers to beat.

Logging takes a sentence. Describe a meal, photograph it or scan a barcode, and Hale & Hearty fills in the nutrients. With permission, it reads sleep, movement, water and cycle phase from Apple Health, so its suggestions fit the day the person is actually having, whether that's a short night, a fasting day or a hard training week.

Ask Hale, the app's built-in assistant, answers questions only a person's own diary can answer, such as "Did I get enough iron today?" or "Why am I so tired this week?". It can check a restaurant menu against food allergies, sorting dishes into "You can eat", "Worth asking" and "Sensitive to", and it writes recipes around what someone can eat. Nutrient goals adapt to 16 health conditions, including anaemia, PCOS and high blood pressure, and symptom tracking shows which foods tend to turn up alongside how someone feels, as correlations, never verdicts, with two-week elimination tests to check a hunch properly.

"Food is about more than numbers," said Sambare. "It's nourishment, joy, culture and celebration, something that brings people closer together. I wanted a food diary that helps you understand what works for you, without ever treating food as the enemy."

Hale & Hearty is private by design. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising. Logs live on the device and in the user's own private iCloud, which Stribog cannot read. AI features ask for permission first, and requests are processed by providers that don't keep them or use them for training.

The app works on iPhone, including iPhone Duo, and Apple Watch, with widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, Control Center and the Action button for logging without opening the app.
